Organizational Philosophy

This is a high level summary of our organizational design philosophy for Bittrees, Inc.

Bittrees, Inc is divided into three sectors. These function as subDAOs and are known as the B.T.C. Group: Business, Technology, Community. Each sector is meant to have one-third (1/3) voting power, working to balance power, and ensuring a two-third (2/3) consensus for large matters.

Financial and Governance Strategy:

The B.T.C. Group receives one-third of the revenue that is generated by Bittrees, Inc., each receiving one-ninth of the total revenue. Each subDAO has their own leaders with at least 1 governance seat being set aside for at least member of the Operations Team and a minimum of 4 seats sets aside for leaders from within respective sector. This forms a sort of Operational Governance model whereas the members of the Operations Team work to keep procedures running smoothly.

The Community sector focuses on engagement initiatives while acting as a point of contact for potential partnership opportunities and other referrals from contributors. This sector delegates their business processes responsibility to the Business sector.

The Business sector anticipates and listens to the needs of the Community sector. The Business sector standardizes processes and manages templates and tools to the benefit of the Community sector.

As processes are standardized and used, proposals are made to the Technology sector to help automate certain functions. The business leader delegates their executive function to the operations team who ensure processes stay on track and each team has their needs accounted for.

The Technology sector designs and maintains technology stacks and other digital systems or contracts which fit the perceived needs and requirements delegated to them by the Community and Business sectors.

In this manner we harmonize these three groups, and the resources generated by any one sector benefits the whole all while working together towards a number of goals and initiatives.

Our long term goal is to sustainably develop and make available tools and resources that can be used as public goods, and we have medium and short term strategies that range between revenue generating and community engagement opportunities to support this goal.
